Santee Cooper continues to monitor weather forecasts and prepare for storm conditions.
Safety is our first priority, and we ask our customers to be safe at home, on the road and if they encounter downed power lines. Visit www.santeecooper.com/storms-and-outages for safety tips.
Follow us on Facebook or Twitter for the latest storm-related developments and power delivery news. Customers who experience power outages should report them online at www.santeecooper.com/stormcenter or by calling 1-888-769-7688.
Crews are preparing now for upcoming shifts and storm-related repairs, if needed. We also have contract repair and tree crews coming in from Florida and Louisiana to help in storm repairs. Crews will address any needed repairs as soon as it is safe to send them out.
To help Santee Cooper meet increased demand from the cold nights ahead, customers are also asked to conserve electricity where possible — by delaying the use of dishwashers and washing machines, for example - during the peak demand times in the evening before bedtime and in the mornings before 9 a.m.
Santee Cooper is South Carolina's largest power producer, the largest Green Power generator and the ultimate source of electricity for 2 million people across the state. Through its low-cost, reliable and
environmentally responsible electricity and water services, and through innovative partnerships and
