Below are brief descriptions of Santee Cooper's rates for residential customers. For a complete description of each rate, please follow the links provided.

Note: The customer charge for each rate is not shown. All rates are subject to fuel, demand sales, and economic development sales adjustment clauses, and the Terms and Conditions of Retail Electric Service.

Residential General Service Schedule (RG-16)


Summer season - 12.02 cents/kWh
Non-summer season - 10.02 cents/kWh

Standard rate for residential service.

Residential Transition Adjustment Rate (R-TA-16)


Summer season - 12.02 cents/kWh
Non-summer season - 10.02 cents/kWh

Transition rate for residential customers who were previously served under Good Cents Rates R1/R2 (New) and R3/R4 (Improved). The complete transition schedule is included in the rate schedule.

Residential Time-of-Use Rate Schedule (RT-16)


Residential rate for private homes, single-family dwelling units and farms. Participation is on a voluntary basis.
