Temporary Lane Closures Scheduled for Rushland Landing Road on Johns Island

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Santee Cooper will be performing construction work requiring temporary intermittent lane closures on Johns Island on Rushland Landing Road from Wednesday, Sept. 3, through Wednesday, Sept. 17, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. The closures will be near 2590 Rushland Landing Road between Brickyard Road and Scott Island Court.

Any traffic delays should be brief, and Santee Cooper will make every attempt to keep traffic disruption to a minimum. Motorists are encouraged to use caution, reduce speed when traveling through the area, and consider alternate routes, if possible, to avoid delays.

The construction is part of a transmission upgrade that will benefit residents of Johns Island. For information about the project, visit www.santeecooper.com/johnsisland.
