Celebrate The Season Returns Nov. 28 to Dec. 30

The holiday festival marks 15 years of spreading joy and giving back.

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. – Celebrate The Season is back for a 15th year of warming hearts, creating special memories, and supporting local charities. The festival has donated $1.3 million to local charities since 2011, and all ticket proceeds this year will continue to benefit local, nonprofit charities.

The centerpiece of the event is the Holiday Lights Driving Tour at Old Santee Canal Park. Visitors can enjoy the mile-long tour featuring festive displays, with thousands of colorful LEDs, daily from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. from Nov. 28 through Dec. 30. (Please note the tour is closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.) Admission is $10 per vehicle and $20 per bus. Cash and credit cards are accepted. As an added benefit, visitors can enjoy the driving tour as many times as they like on the day they purchase their ticket.

In addition to the driving tour, the festive Holiday In The Park will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. over two weekends: Dec. 12-Dec.13 and Dec. 19-Dec. 20. Bring your family and friends to get into the holiday spirit with food vendors, local entertainment, holiday gift vendors, free visits with Santa, marshmallow roasting, and many other activities.

Entry to Holiday In The Park is included with admission to the Holiday Lights Driving Tour. More information on all Celebrate The Season events is available at www.celebratetheseason.org.

All the brilliantly colored LED lighting displays are powered by 100% Santee Cooper Green Power, which is Green-e Energy certified and meets the environmental and consumer-protection standards set forth by the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions. Celebrate The Season is presented by Berkeley Electric Cooperative, organized by Santee Cooper and Old Santee Canal Park, and supported by numerous local business sponsors.
