You'll receive final bill credits no later than January 2026.

As a thank you for your participation, we will apply a final bill credit to your electric account no later than January 2026. This credit will be based on the anniversary of when you joined the program and will cover participation through the program's end date.  

For example, if you joined in May and the program ends in October, your bill credit will reflect six months of participation (May through October), out of the 12-month program year.

Switch Safety

You may safely keep the switch installed in your home. However, it will no longer affect your energy usage after Oct. 31, 2025. Please be aware that the light on your switch may blink even though it's not functioning.

If you prefer to have the switch removed, please schedule an appointment before July 2026. To set up an appointment to uninstall the switch, call 833-493-1038 or email SmartRewards@santeecooper.com.

No. The switch is safe to keep in place. After Oct. 31, 2025, it will no longer affect any connected loads. Please be aware that the light on your switch may blink even though it's not functioning. Removal is optional.

Yes! We are excited to announce a new demand response smart thermostat program, launching in early 2026. This program allows you to participate in demand response events with a qualifying smart thermostat while enjoying greater comfort and control in your home.
