Building a New Business
Congratulations on constructing your new business. In order to get temporary electric service, please follow these important steps.
Temporary Service Requirements
Your contractor’s electrician should install a temporary pole withing 5 feet of an underground electric source or 10 feet of an overhead electric source. For additional specifications, please click here.
You must have the temporary pole inspected by your local municipality.
Temporary Service Application
Complete our temporary service application and email it to email@example.com.
Permanent Meter Base
Have an electrician install and label a permanent meter base on your home.
We do our best to get your electric service up and running quickly. If you have questions, you can contact a Santee Cooper Area Engineer or check out our Builders and Developers page.
For additional questions please contact an area engineer, call 800-804-7424 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Before you can convert from temporary to permanent service, you must have your municipality complete an inspection (see municipality inspection list below). After linework and inspection are completed, contact us at 800-804-7424 or email@example.com to request to move from temporary to permanent service. Please allow 2-3 business days for installation.
All linework must be completed before requesting temporary to permanent service.
